Meet our owner, Sophie.
Passionate about all things health and wellness, Bali Garden owner, Sophie Carew, has lived in Matakana for over a decade. Sophie moved back to New Zealand in 2011, after surviving a near fatal car accident whilst living in Australia. Sophie’s health and a slower paced lifestyle has been a priority ever since.
In 2017 Sophie met Robyn Alexander, the owner and founder of Bali Garden at the time. A close bond was formed after discovering that they had both tragically lost a close family member, and that nature was where they found solace and healing.
From this friendship came a handover in ownership in 2023 and Bali Garden has since evolved into what it is today - a special sanctuary for the community and beyond to enjoy.
Our story
The exquisite gardens at Bali Garden were lovingly created by Robyn Alexander over a decade ago, as a healing therapy after the tragic loss of her son.
She hopes the sheer beauty of the gardens and the tranquility they bring, will continue to provide a peaceful energy to all who step foot on the grounds.
